Investment group buys automotive logistics specialist TDS
The Yucaipa Cos. LLC., a Los Angeles-based private equity investment firm, said it has acquired Ontario-based automotive logistics provider TDS Logistics for an undisclosed price.
However, Houston-based Eagle Global Logistics said it sold its 40 percent share in TDS for about $51 million.
TDS manages the inbound flow of parts to automotive assembly plants as well as finished parts and vehicles for export markets. Clients include BME, DaimlerChrysler, Ford Motor Co., General Motors and Volkswagon. The company has more than 5,000 employees in nine countries.
