Ford reappoints Exel as lead logistics provider in Europe
Ford has reappointed United Kingdom-based Exel as its lead logistics provider in Europe in charge of inbound logistics.
Under the contract, first awarded in 2001, Exel will support Ford in Europe in managing all inbound-related logistics and in providing dedicated resources at service provider locations.
Exel will work across Europe, managing network design, operational execution and control. The logistics company will also continue to support Ford with carrier and service provider management for all inbound activities relating to the material flow to Ford’s export distribution centers and European vehicle, engine and transmission plants.
