UPS has added six stations to its full and less-than-container load (FCL and LCL) multi-modal rail service between China and Europe, the company said Tuesday.
In China, stations were added in Changsha, Chongqing, Suzhou and Wuhan, complementing the existing stations in Zhengzhou and Chengdu.
In Europe, stops in Duisburg, Germany and Warsaw, Poland were added to the existing stops in Lodz, Poland and Hamburg, Germany.
The China-Europe rail service provides FCL and LCL transport in both directions between China and Europe, providing customers with temperature-controlled options, end-to-end visibility and simplified clearance processes, according to UPS.
“Our China-Europe rail services can save customers up to 65 percent versus air freight and improve time-in-transit by 40 percent versus traditional ocean freight service,” UPS Global Freight Forwarding President Cindy Miller said.
