GAC Laredo facility to support oil/gas industry

GAC Energy and Marine Services, a subsidiary of Dubai-based global shipping, logistics and marine services provider GAC Group, has opened a new warehouse in Laredo, Texas, to meet the growing demands of oil and gas customers who import and export across the U.S.-Mexico border.
Laredo is the largest commercial border crossing with Mexico.
The new 56,000-square foot, seven-acre facility can accommodate oversized spare parts and hazardous materials. Available services include Mexican customs brokerage, U.S. and Mexican transportation management, freight forwarding, border-crossing arrangements, intermodal, less-than-truckload, and inventory management.
GAC said its specialized oil and gas focus will enable the company to better execute deliveries than other logistics companies in Laredo who specialize in consumer goods or unitized industrial products and serve the oil and gas industry as a sidelight.
