Air China orders 747-400 cargo planes
Air China Cargo Co. has ordered two new 747-400 freighters worth a combined $400 million, Boeing said. Air China Cargo, a joint venture formed in late 2003 by Air China and two other investors, will deploy the planes on its China/North America routes.
The first plane is scheduled for delivery in November 2005 and the second in March 2006.
Air China Cargo operates one 747-400 freighter, four 747-200 freighters and eight 747-400 combination passenger-cargo aircraft.
