U.S. import entry denial lifted for El Salvador textile shipper

The U.S. Committee for the Implementation of Textile Agreements has told the Bureau of Customs and Border Protection to lift a two-year import denial order against textile shipper Daewoo El Salvador S.A. de C.V.

CITA issued the denial order after Customs alleged the company was involved in illegal transshipments and failed to produce production records.

CITA decided to lift the denial order “based upon information received since that time.” The committee also said it expects Customs will conduct additional on-site verification of this company’s production when possible.
