EUROPE/EAST COAST SOUTH AMERICA SERVICE DROPPED

The vessel “P&O Nedlloyd Pampas” made the final voyage on the EECSA 2 service when it called Hamburg on Jan. 2. The service had used three ships averaging 1,657 TEUs. As a result of the service being cancelled the trade will see a reduction of about 43,000 TEUs in annual one-way capacity.

Calls at Bilbao, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande and Montevideo previously only called by the EECSA 2 service will now be incorporated into the itinerary of the EECSA 1 service.
The EECSA 1 service will use seven ships averaging 2,465 TEUs and its revised port rotation will be Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre, Bilbao, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Paranagua, Buenos Aires, Montevideo, Rio Grande, Itajai, Santos, Rio de Janeiro, Salvador, Rotterdam, Tilbury, Hamburg, Antwerp, Le Havre and Bilbao.
