MANHATTAN ASSOCIATES BUYS ASSETS OF LOGISTICS.COM
Manhattan Associates Inc., an Atlanta-based provider of supply chain execution software, has signed a letter of intent to buy the assets of Logistics.com, a provider of integrated planning solutions.
Logistics.com, based in Burlington, Mass., markets three software offerings, including OptiManage, a transportation management solution; OptiBid, a procurement application, and OptiYield, an optimization solution. The company had received funding from Internet Capital Group.
Manhattan Associates, which has 800 employees, had $133 million in revenue in 2000. The company projected revenue of $170 million this year.
A spokesman for Logistics.com said that both companies expected to conclude their transaction in the fourth quarter, subject to various closing conditions.
