Alliance switches ports on two Asia/Indian Subcontinent/Europe services

   Members of the CKYH alliance, COSCO Container Lines, Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Hanjin Shipping, Yang Ming Marine and Senator Lines are switching ports between their weekly “CEX” and “NEX” services in the Asia/Europe trade.

   Previous calls at Colombo and eastbound calls at Singapore and Hong Kong on the “NEX” service will be transferred to the “CEX” service. At the same time, eastbound calls to Kaohsiung and Busan will switch over from the “CEX” to “NEX”.

   The first voyage for the new “NEX” rotation will be made by the vessel “Hanjin Chicago” when it departs from Hamburg on Dec. 22. The vessel “Hanjin

Gothenburg” will commence the new rotation on the “CEX” when it sails from Rotterdam on Dec. 23.

   The “NEX” service uses eight ships of around 5,600 TEUs and will now call Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Le Havre, Port Kelang, Kaohsiung, Busan, Shanghai, Xiamen, Chiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Hamburg, Rotterdam, Felixstowe, Le Havre.

   The “CEX” service uses eight ships of about 5,400 TEUs and has a revised rotation of Rotterdam, Hamburg, Felixstowe, Colombo, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Xingang, Busan, Yantian, Port Kelang, Rotterdam, Hamburg and Felixstowe.

   Hanjin Shipping’s subsidiary Senator Lines is a member of the CKYH alliance except in trades that call at U.S. ports.
