Continental applies to start Houston/Buenos Aires flights
Continental Airlines has submitted an application to the U.S. Department of Transportation to become the first U.S. carrier to a offer daily nonstop service between Houston and Argentina.
The Houston-based airline plans to start flights, utilizing a Boeing 767-200 airplane, from Bush Intercontinental Airport to Buenos Aires, in November.
Continental said the Houston/Buenos Aires flight will be timed to provide through service to its New York hub at Newark Liberty International Airport and online connecting service between Buenos Aires and numerous points throughout the U.S., Europe and Latin America.
