HANJIN SHIPPING REPORTS GROWTH

   Hanjin Shipping said that its revenue rose by 4.3 percent in 1998, to
$2.94 billion, from $2.82 billion in 1997.

   Last year, Hanjin carried 1,828,000 TEUs of container cargo and 6.2
million tons of bulk cargo.

   The Korean carrier aims to ship 2 million TEUs of container cargo and 6.25
millin tons of bulk cargo this year, with the goal to reach more than $3.15 billion in
revenue.
