Nordic Logistics expands capacity in Savannah

The logistics company opened a new 200,000-square-foot cold storage and blast freezing facility in Savannah, GA.

Nordic Logistics and Warehousing opened a new 200,000-square foot cold storage and blast freezing facility in Savannah last Friday, which can hold over 20,000 tons of cargo at a time, the Georgia Ports Authority said.
The logistics company’s first 200,000-square-foot cold storage warehouse in Savannah opened April 11, 2013.
Overall, the second facility brings the company’s total capacity in Savannah to almost 50,000 tons of cargo.
“With the port’s deepening project, post-Panamax ships and continued growth of the area, we are building a port not only for our current customers, but our future growth and new commodities as well,” Nordic Director of Business Strategy Ross Maple said.
