FedEx adds S. Korea flights, extends drop-off times

International air express carrier FedEx Express announced the addition of seven weekly wide-body flights from Incheon International Airport bringing to 20 the number of scheduled frequencies the international air express carrier has via Seoul, South Korea.

Five of the flights connect Incheon to FedEx’s main Asia hub in the Philippines. The addition of the flights to the Philippines allows the company to extend its drop-off times for outbound shipments for Asia and the United States by two hours, the company said.

“The decision to add new frequencies is evidence of our commitment to the Korean market and demonstrates our confidence in a revival of the Korea economy,” David Cunningham, senior vice president for FedEx Asia Pacific region, said in a statement.

FedEx has made several moves in recent months to add air service in Asia, including Hong Kong and China.
