Indiana’s Mount Vernon port gets $400 million ethanol plant
The Indiana port of Mount Vernon will receive a $400 million, 220-million-gallon ethanol plant, the largest project ever built among the state’s three ports.
Aventine Renewable Energy Holdings and Consolidated Grain and Barge Co. will build the 116-acre plant.
The Ports of Indiana is a quasi-state, self-funded enterprise that operates the ports of Mount Vernon, Jeffersonville and Burns Harbor.
