EVERGREEN REVISES ROUND-THE-WORD EASTBOUND SERVICE

   Evergreen Line is adding calls at Busan, South Korea, and Shimizu, Japan, to the rotation of its round-the-world eastbound service and ending the service’s direct call at Rotterdam, The Netherlands.

   The changes are related to the termination in July of Evergreen’s Korea/Japan/U.S. West Coast KJW weekly service, which has called at Los Angeles, Portland, Tokyo, Hakata, Busan, Yokkaichi, Shimizu, Tokyo, Los Angeles and Portland.

   Evergreen’s 10-ship round-the-world eastbound weekly service will pick up the direct calls at Busan and Shimizu.

   The revised rotation of the service is Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Busan, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, Shimizu, Los Angeles, Cristobal (Panama), Charleston, Baltimore, New York, Le Havre, Thamesport, Antwerp, Hamburg, Port Said, Colombo, Port Kelang, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kaohsiung, Busan, Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo and Shimizu.

   The service continues to use 10 ships of 4,229 TEUs on a 70-day eastbound rotation.

   The amended transit times for all the trades served by Evergreen’s round-the-world service are posted on the free global sailing schedule database ComPairSchedules, at www.compairschedules.com.
