DANZAS TAKES OVER CARGOPLAN FORWARDING GROUP
Danzas, the logistics arm of Deutsche Post, announced the takeover of the Cargoplan/Cargoline group, a provider of freight forwarding and logistics services based in Vienna, Austria.
Cargoplan/Cargoline had sales of about 80 million euro ($70 million) in 2000 and has some 500 employees.
The agent of Air Express International (now Danzas) in eastern Europe, Cargoplan/Cargoline runs companies in Austria, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovenia, and has additional organizations in other eastern European countries, Germany, Scotland, the U.S. and Canada.
Danzas said that this latest company takeover will reinforce its activities in Austria and in central and eastern Europe.
