A 2,840-TEU container ship, the Hansa Constitution, went aground in Hong Kong harbor on Sunday afternoon.
A video posted to YouTube shows the 633-foot ship slowly coming to rest just short of a seawall near playing fields at the University of Hong Kong in Pok Fu Lam.
The ship is owned by Hamburg, Germany-based Hansa Shipping and is used by MSC in its Shogun Service between Japan and China.
A spokeswoman for Hansa Shipping said the cause was a loss of power on board, which has since been restored. The ship was on its way to Shenzhen when the accident occurred. No one was hurt and no oil spilled, she added.
The ship remains in Hong Kong while an investigation is underway. When completed, the ship will continue its regular rotation.
