DOT revises hazmat reporting requirements
The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Research and Special Programs Administration said Wednesday it is revising the incident reporting requirements of the Hazardous Material Regulations.
The new requirements include more specific information on the hazmat incident being reported, expanding reporting requirements to persons other than carriers, reporting undeclared shipments of hazardous materials, and reporting incidents involving cargo tanks where no hazmat release occurred.
