TRAILER BRIDGE EXPANDS U.S. NORTHEAST/PUERTO RICO SERVICE
Trailer Bridge Inc., the barge-and-trucking service founded by Malcom McLean, said it is expanding its direct service between Port Newark, N.J. and San Juan, Puerto Rico, to weekly, effective Wednesday. The service had served the ports on a fortnightly basis.
The service uses Trailer Bridge's newest triple-deck barges, which can handle 53-foot high-cube containers.
Trailer Bridge serves Puerto Rico and the lower 48 states.
