Mali to take advantage of AGOA for textile shipments to U.S.
The U.S. Trade Representative has determined Mali meets the conditions to take advantage of trade benefits associated with the African Growth and Opportunity Act.
The agency said Mali has adopted a visa system and related customs procedures that prevents illegal transshipments of textiles and apparel.
AGOA provides preferential tariff treatment for imports of certain textile and apparel products of beneficiary sub-Saharan African countries.
