BASF NAMES P&O NEDLLOYD FOR SHANGHAI CENTER
German chemical group BASF has appointed P&O
Nedlloyd Logistics (China) Ltd. to run its second Asia-Pacific regional distribution
center, based in Shanghai.
P&O Nedlloyd Logistics will be responsible for the physical
movement of goods, customs clearance, transport and warehousing at the distribution
center.
BASF and P&O Nedlloyd Logistics intend to develop Shanghai as a
regional hub for both re-export activities and shipments into China.
P&O Nedlloyd Logistics has a Chinese licence to operate as a logistics provider.
