Specialty Crop Trade Council picks Management Dynamics software
The Specialty Crop Trade Council, an organization that promotes export trade of dried fruit, tree nuts and kindred products, has contracted with Management Dynamics Inc., a provider of tariff and contract management software, to automate SCTC's ocean contracts.
SCTC will use Management Dynamics' Rate Explorer software to 'provide fast access to our negotiated rates, improve rate accuracy by taking into account all amendments and surcharges, and simplify service-cost decisions,' said Rick Murphy, SCTC assistant secretary.
'Also, since Rate Explorer is available as a service over the Internet, our member companies can access rates from anywhere in the world to make day-to-day decisions that improve their ocean logistics operations,' Murphy said.
SCTC, formerly known as the California Dried Fruit Export Association, was established in 1925 as a non-profit group. Today, its membership is international, and includes both merchant and packer exporters in California that export 90 percent of that state's dried fruit and tree nut production.
Management Dynamics is based in East Rutherford, N.J.
