TMM EXTENDS ON-LINE BILLS OF LADING
TMM Lines has developed on-line capabilities that allow shippers in Europe and Mexico to download bills of lading via the Internet.
U.S. shippers have had access to this service, www.tmmlines.com, for some time. “Our customers in the U.S. have found the facility really useful,” said Juan Manuel Gonzalez, vice president of TMM. “They appreciate the speed and reliability of printing their bills of lading in their own offices.”
Customers are notified automatically by e-mail when the bills of lading are ready to be downloaded.
The service will be rolled out to TMM’s customers to Asia and Central and South America in the coming months, the carrier said.
