Europe/Asia carriers to raise eastbound rates
Shipping lines of the Far Eastern Freight Conference said eastbound rates from Europe to Asia are “at their all time lowest level” and must be raised.
The conference carriers said tariff rates will increase $50 per 20 or 40-foot container, effective March 1, and the resulting tariff rates would be valid until March 31.
Shipping lines are also facing “unprecedented increases in operating costs,” the conference said.
