NAVIERAS NPR NAMES GABBETT COO
   Ronald Gabbett will join Navieras NPR Inc. as chief operating officer on
Sept. 13.
   Gabbett spent 25 years with Sea-Land Service in a number of senior level
operations and commercial positions. He also served as a senior executive with Inchcape
Shipping Services, based in Mobile.
   Gabbett will report to Tom Holt Jr., president and chief executive
officer of Navieras.
