FINE AIR SERVICES TO BUILD MIAMI FREIGHT FACILITY
Fine Air Services Corp., the parent company of Miami all-cargo carriers
Fine Air and Arrow Air, said it will begin construction of a $20 million,
125,000-square-foot cargo facility in Miami by December.
Fine expects to open the building by the end of next year. The new
facility is part of a cargo development project at Miami known as the
"Eastern U Development," which will include new cargo facilities for
LanChile.
Fine Air and Arrow Air will triple their current cargo space with the
building, half of which will be dedicated to handling flowers and other
perishables. Fine Air said the new cooler facility, complete with X-ray
equipment, will be the largest at Miami International Airport.
Adjacent ramp space will accommodate up to eight widebody or 11
narrowbody freighters.
