PORT OF SOUTHAMPTON LANDS TOYOTA CONTRACT
Associated British Port's Port of Southampton has secured a contract for exporting Toyota Avensis and Corolla models to Portugal, through Flota Suardiaz's weekly service to Port of Vigo.
Toyota, which uses the Port of Southampton on other routes, will export more than 30,000 vehicles through the port from their factory at Burnaston near Derby.
ABP is the United Kingdom's leading car handling port operator, with nearly 20 percent of all vehicles imported and exported through the country passing through the Port of Southampton.
