EVERGREEN TAKES ASIA/PANAMA SLOTS ON LLOYD TRIESTINO/ZIM SHIPS
Evergreen Marine will take slots between the Far East and the port of Cristobal, in Panama, on the new Asia/U.S. East Coast “AUX” service of subsidiary company Lloyd Triestino and Zim, due to start in mid-April.
Evergreen will take 300 TEUs per week exclusively from Asia to Panama, and has no plans to use slots to the U.S. East Coast. A spokesman for Evergreen said that the slots will serve the Caribbean and West Coast of South America trades.
The “AUX” service will use nine vessels of about 2,800 TEUs, and will have a port rotation of Shanghai, Ningbo, Busan, Cristobal, Kingston, Port Everglades, Savannah, Norfolk, Kingston, Cristobal, Shanghai, Ningbo and Busan.
