DELTA PILOTS APPROVE B777 PAY PLAN
Pilots for Atlanta-based Delta Air Lines have approved the carriers pay
plan for operating B777-200 and B767-400 planes.
The approval, by a slim 13.4 percent voting margin, clears Delta to add the
widebody B777-200s and B767-400s to its fleet. The B777 offers as much belly cargo
capacity as a B747-200, in some cases, and is widely recognized as an excellent cargo
aircraft for passenger operators.
Delta pilots will earn $250 an hour for flying the 777-200, with pay
increasing to $265 an hour in January.
