EVERGREEN IMPLEMENTS WESTBOUND ATLANTIC EQUIPMENT CHARGE
Non-conference carrier Evergreen Line is implementing a
westbound equipment repositioning surcharge of $250 per container with effect from Sept.
16.
The Trans-Atlantic Conference Agreement carriers and most other
non-conference lines are also introducing the $250 charge.
Evergreen said that the charge is necessary to cover the incremental
costs associated with repositioning equipment.
The charge applies to tariff and service contract shipments, with the
exception of shipper-owned equipment and reefers, Evergreen said.
