FedEx Office opens campus in Plano, Texas

The new, 265,000-square-foot office consolidates several locations and an estimated 1,200 FedEx team members into one location.

FedEx Office has moved into a 265,000-square-foot custom-built corporate campus in Plano, Texas, a city 18 miles north of Dallas, Texas.
The facility consolidates several locations and an estimated 1,200 FedEx team members into one location, FedEx said.
FedEx Office worked with developer KDC; broker JLL; architecture firm HKS; and interior design company HOK to develop the new site. The campus’s core and shell was designed by Rogers-O’Brien Construction and the interior finish-out was completed by Balfour Beatty Construction.
The facility features a mock-store, which mirrors the design of FedEx Office’s retail locations. The mock-store allows for onsite testing of new equipment, machines, packing products and shipping products before they enter the field.
In addition, the site also has a centralized Network Operations Control Center, which provides the team with a holistic view of all retail and commercial print production and distribution across the network, along with the company’s fleet of same day city delivery trucks.
“The team at the corporate office supports more than 14,000 team members and 1,800 retail centers across the United States and Canada,” FedEx Office CEO Brian Philips said in a statement. “The new facility brings our team members together under one roof, increasing collaboration and enabling us to provide even better support for our internal and external customers.”
