CUSTOMS SETS DATE FOR BROKERS TO PAY FEES
U.S. Customs has notified customs brokers that the 2001 annual user fee is due Jan. 19.
The $125 fee is assessed for each broker permit or national permit held by an individual, partnership, association or corporation.
The Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 says that the fee must be paid by the end of each calendar year in each broker district where the broker was issued a permit to do business.
