KUEHNE & NAGEL TAKES OVER FINNLINESÆ RAILCARGO BUSINESS

Ferroviasped Holding AG, a wholly owned rail unit of Kuehne & Nagel, will take over the Railcargo business of the European shipping company Finnlines, including its customer and service relations, starting in October.

The new Railcargo service will be connected with the Finnish and Swedish operations to and from North Germany. These services will be built to block trains in the main European economic centers. In Finland, sales, marketing and operations will be handled by OY Kuehne & Nagel Ltd.

Finnlines will provide rail ferries between Luebeck-Travemuende and Turko, and can provide additional ferry capabilities as required, Kuehne & Nagel said.
