HEWLETT-PACKARD SELECTS UPS LOGISTICS FOR PARTS NETWORK

   The Hewlett-Packard Co.’s Commercial Support Services Organization has chosen UPS Logistics Group to manage its service parts logistics network in the United States.

   UPS Logistics Group, an Atlanta-based subsidiary of United Parcel Service Inc., will receive and manage Hewlett-Packard’s parts inventory and returns through a network of distributors.

   So far in 2000, the UPS Logistics has signed more than $1 billion worth of long-term contracts in the service parts marketplace. It did not disclose the value of the Hewlett-Packard contract.
