ShipCarsNow, SmartAuction partner

   Auto dealers and wholesalers who buy used vehicles via Ally Financial’s SmartAuction online now have the option to transport them via ShipCarsNow.
   ShipCarsNow, a Union Pacific subsidiary, provides auto transport throughout the United States via door-to-door rail and direct truck service. It’s connected with other Class I railroads and more than 7,000 trucks to provide SmartAuction the ability to transport cars.
   “As the used vehicle market continues to gain momentum, adding the ShipCarsNow team to SmartAuction provides another value-added service to help dealers find the right vehicles for their market place,” said Steve Kapusta, vice president of SmartAuction, in a statement.
   Started in 2000, more than 4.1 million vehicles have been sold through SmartAuction. More than 16,000 vehicles are listed on the online auction site daily.
