HOMELAND SECURITY SECRETARY FORMS ADVISORY COUNCIL

Tom Ridge, the U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security, has established the Homeland Security Advisory Council, to 'provide advice and recommendations' on homeland security matters, Ridge’s office said in a statement.

The Homeland Security Advisory Council “will operate in an advisory capacity only,” and will “terminate two years from the date of its establishment, unless extended by the secretary,” the statement said.
