CARRIERPOINT TAPS VIEWLOCITY FOR E-BUSINESS INTEGRATION
CarrierPoint Inc., an e-commerce provider of collaborative marketplaces for the less-than-truckload and full-truckload freight markets, has announced a partnership with Viewlocity Inc., a provider of software and e-business integration services.
Brian Kinsey, president and chief executive officer of CarrierPoint, said the partnership would combine Viewlocity’s “enabling technology and our open, online marketplace.”
Specifically, CarrierPoint will use Viewlocity’s AMTrix Integration Broker to integrate CarrierPoint’s Dynamic Shipping Marketplace with its customers’ e-business communications systems.
CarrierPoint’s multi-variant approach “enables a shipper and carrier to conduct business in real time,” according to a company statement.
Both companies are based in Atlanta.
