FEDEX LAUNCHES SHIP MANAGER ELECTRONIC SERVICES

FedEx Corp., the Memphis-based express logistics giant, will launch a portfolio of electronic shipping services to support U.S. domestic and global shipping, starting Sept. 25.

FedEx Ship Manager comprises hardware, software and Web-based applications to provide services for large to small shippers.

   Ship Manager services include:

   * FedEx Ship Manager, at http://www.fedex.com enables personal and business users to arrange package shipments via the Web.

   * FedEx Ship Manager Software provides similar services as Ship Manager for customers who do not have Internet access.

   * FedEx Ship Manager Office Station, a stand-alone hardware device, usually located within a centralized front-office setting, for small-to-medium-volume shippers.

   * FedEx Ship Manager Work Station, a hardware device that provides flexible integration capabilities, multicarrier functionality — including rate comparison, shipping and tracking — and customizable shipping screens.

   * FedEx Ship Manager Server, which allows large-volume shippers to integrate key business systems such as shipping and order management data flows. Customers can use FedEx's graphic user interface or create their own. Multicarrier functionality is available in the existing Web-browser interface.

   * FedEx Ship Manager API (application programming interface) allows customers to integrate FedEx capabilities, including shipping, tracking, rate quotes and e-mail notification into their Web site, e-commerce platform, Internet or other internal online systems or applications.
