NYK Line, P&O Nedlloyd and Hyundai Merchant Marine are starting a cooperative agreement this month to exchange slots on their respective services between the Far East and the Mideast.
At the same time, the three carriers are revising the rotations of their services.
“The cooperation will allow the lines to rationalize port calls in China and the Middle East, whereas at the same time adding a Kwangyang call in Korea,” a spokesman for NYK said.
The “KMS” service, previously run by Hyundai on its own, will have a revised rotation of Inchon, Kwangyang, Pusan, Keelung, Hong Kong, Yantian, Singapore, Port Klang, Colombo, Jebel Ali (Dubai), Port Rashid, Dammam, Karachi, Singapore, Hong Kong and Inchon.
The “GKX” service, formerly operated by P&O Nedlloyd and NYK Line, will now call at Ningbo, Shanghai, Yantian, Singapore, Port Klang, Jebel Ali, Dammam, Bandar Abbas, Singapore and Ningbo.
