EWL merges Europe/Caribbean/South America links
Rotterdam-based Europe West Indies Lines has merged its two separate 13-day Europe/Caribbean/North Coast South America services into one fixed-day weekly link. The new operation commences with the sailing of “EWL Rotterdam” from the port of Rotterdam on Jan. 13.
The combined service will now use six ships averaging 1,058 TEUs, and call at Rotterdam; Bremerhaven; Felixstowe; Bilbao; Bridgetown, Barbados (fortnightly); St. Maarten-Philipsburg (fortnightly); Port of Spain, Trinidad; La Guaira (fortnightly); Puerto Cabello; Aruba (fortnightly); Barranquilla (fortnightly); Curacao; Cartagena, Colombia; Paramaribo; Georgetown, Guyana; Puerto Limon; Santo Tomas de Castilla; Puerto Cortes and back to Rotterdam.
Europe West Indies Lines said that the port of Rio Haina will be served by a new fortnightly direct service, but did not provide further details.
