FIRST CANADA-GREENLAND LINK WILL START IN JULY
Quebec-based Transport Desgagnes Inc. and Royal Arctic Line from Greenland have announced a joint agreement to start a direct link between Montreal and Nuuk, Greenland. The new service represents the first direct link between Canada and Greenland.
The first sailing will be made in July, and the operators said that they hope to make one or two other voyages in the summer, depending on the trade growth. At least three trips are planned between June and October during 2001 and 2002 seasons, Transport Desgagnes said.
