DHL holds onto medical account
DHL said it has renewed and expanded its ground service contract with the American Proficiency Institute, a large medical testing laboratory.
API, Traverse City, Mich., evaluates the accuracy of laboratory test results to ensure compliance with federal regulations. It does this by sending blind samples to hospitals, clinics and doctor’s offices via DHL.
Under the contract, DHL will distribute almost 15,000 test kits to thousands of laboratories six times per year.
API said DHL had achieved 98-percent on-time performance during the past three years.
