Georgia Ports appoints former CSX port executive as COO
The Georgia Ports Authority, which operates the port of Savannah, has hired Curtis J. Foltz, vice president of operations at CSX World Terminals, to become its chief operating officer, effective Aug. 1.
This is a new position at the port authority. He will report to Doug J. Marchand, executive director of the Georgia Ports Authority.
At CSX, Foltz has held complete management responsibility for terminal operations throughout the Americas and the Caribbean. In addition, he managed all corporate operations such as engineering, procurement, safety and security, and operations improvement. He also served as president for CSX World Crane Services, which provides crane maintenance and repair services, and global crane inspection services.
Prior to working with CSX World Terminals, Foltz had management positions with former CSX affiliate Sea-Land.
