China Global Logistics Network to hold meeting in Beijing
The newly formed China Global Logistics Network will hold its first meeting in Beijing June 23-26.
The freight forwarder network was established by World Cargo Alliance (WCA) earlier this year. The China Global Logistics Network (CGLN) already claims to include 133 member offices in 46 countries.
“Based on our estimates, we anticipate that the group will reach 500 members before the end of this year,” said David Yokeum, founder and president of CGLN and WCA, in a statement. “The growth of CGLN is nearly as impressive as China’s trade growth, and we have forwarding companies from all over the world waiting to come into this group to improve their position in China and partner with the right Chinese freight forwarders.”
According to Yokeum, the new network is endorsed by CIFA Logistics Consulting Ltd., a subsidiary of the China International Forwarders Association.
The meeting, which is open to both CGLN and non-member forwarders, will focus on the expanding China market and how members can take advantage of the business opportunities. In addition, time will be available to networking and partnering with Chinese forwarders. Yokeum said he expects more than 500 people to attend the meeting.
