AMTAC endorses Senate manufacturing caucus
The American Manufacturing Trade Action Coalition (AMTAC), a Washington, D.C.-based lobbying group representing the interests of U.S. manufacturers, has endorsed the formation on June 14 of a bipartisan manufacturing caucus by the U.S. Senate.
Senators Lindsey Graham of South Carolina and Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York formed the legislative caucus 'to draw attention to the challenges facing manufacturers in the U.S.,' Auggie Tantillo, executive director of AMTAC, said in a statement.
'We need a comprehensive review of U.S. trade and manufacturing policy to determine how to reverse our job losses and the skyrocketing trade deficit. This new caucus is coming along at the perfect time to address these problems,' Tantillo noted.
