TRANSPLACE.COM PARTNERS WITH WAREHOUSE CONSORTIUM

   Transplace.com LLC, based in Plano, Texas, an online transportation logistics company, has formed a strategic partnership with Associated Warehouses Inc., a consortium of more than 50 third-party distribution and fulfillment companies.

   The new relationship will provide customers with integrated distribution and transportation services, as well as real-time data concerning the whereabouts of shipments, said Mark Richards, vice president of AWI.

   “Both AWI and Transplace are focused on providing a dense network of capacity and a broad network of services covering those areas most needed by shippers,” said Joel Sutherland, senior vice president of Transplace.
