EAGLE NAMES NEW CFO
Eagle USA Airfreight, which recently changed its operating name to EGL
Eagle Global Logistics, has tapped Elijio Serrano as its new chief
financial officer.
Serrano comes to Houston-based Eagle from Schlumberger Geco-Prakla’s Americas
unit. He has broad experience in global finance, including responsibility over financial
reporting, treasury and tax planning, international acquisitions and internal controls.
Serrano replaces Douglas Seckel, who had served as Eagle’s CFO since 1989.
Seckel will stay on at the company as treasurer. Serrano brings needed international
experience as Eagle looks to continue an overseas expansion.
Eagle changed its name to EGL earlier this week to reflect the
fast-growing company’s expanding international service reach.
