BOLERO.NET SIGNS ON ASIAN SHIPPER, FORWARDER
Bolero.net, the electronic trade facilitator, has signed Toray International, a leading Asian chemical and textile company, and Mitsui Soko, Japan's second-largest warehousing company, onto its system.
Toray International, a trading division of Toray, plans to establish a worldwide network system by synchronizing its enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for straight through processing using bolero.net. This will allow Toray to coordinate with its headquarters, group companies, trading partners and the forwarders, carriers and banks it operates with.
Mitsui Soko will use bolero.net to improve operating efficiencies and offer competitive services.
Toray and Mitsui Soko have initiated a phased testing of bolero.net on shipments from Japan to Toray International U.S.-based subsidiaries.
Toray International has an international network of 84 bases, including 17 sales and representative officers, as well as 121 bases in Japan. The company focuses on synthetic fibers, plastics, chemicals and composite materials.
Mitsui Soko has more than 60 locations worldwide, providing international logistics, ocean shipping, air-freight forwarding, customs house brokerage, trade fair logistics, surface transportation and warehousing.
