US CUSTOMS ADJUSTS TERRITORY COVERAGE IN PUGET SOUND AREA
U.S. Customs will extend its coverage in Washington State’s Puget Sound area to include two industrial parks in Tacoma.
The parks have new facilities which are used to clear, store and forward imported merchandise, which require Customs services, the agency said.
Customs’ Puget Sound territory covers the ports of Seattle, Tacoma, Anacortes, Bellingham, Everett, Friday Harbor, Neah Bay, Olympia, Port Angeles and Port Townsend.
The agency routinely expands and consolidates Customs ports of entry in the United States to make better use of its resources and to accommodate changing volumes of cargo at ports.
