DANZAS FORMS PARTNERSHIP WITH NETSHIP
Danzas Corp., the U.S. subsidiary of Swiss forwarding giant Danzas, has
signed an agreement with Netship, an electronic commerce fulfillment and delivery service
of Maryland-based Parcel Plus Inc., to provide international logistics services for
Internet retailers.
Danzas, a subsidiary of Deutsche Post Group, and Netship will offer
distribution services for U.S. importers and international logistics
services for U.S. exporters. Netship said it will provide information
technology systems integration services to clients to facilitate automated
shipping. Netship’s web-based system will automatically capture orders and allow retailers
to track shipments, review shipping logs, check inventory and arrange efficient break-bulk
points.
Netship plans to link its customers’ e-commerce systems into Parcel
Plus’ network of 450 warehouse and shipping centers in the U.S. Danzas will help give the
company international reach. The deal marks an expansion of Deutsche Post’s e-commerce
delivery ambitions in North America.
